Dr. Jeff Healy isn’t just a plastic surgeon—he’s a physician who has spent his entire career putting the needs of others first. With more than 23 years of service as a U.S. military surgeon and now as a respected private practice surgeon in Honolulu, Dr. Healy brings a rare blend of discipline, compassion, and precision to every procedure he performs.
He is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for multiple years, and the founder of Healy Plastic Surgery and the Healy Healthcare Foundation. But ask his patients what sets him apart, and you’ll hear the same thing: he listens, he’s honest, and he shows up—for every appointment, every surgery, and every follow-up. He’s not just your surgeon for the procedure. He’s your partner for the long term.

Before founding his private practice, Dr. Healy spent more than two decades as a general surgeon and a plastic and reconstructive surgeon in the United States military. He was entrusted with some of the most complex and urgent surgical cases, serving both soldiers and civilians in stateside hospitals and abroad.
That experience instilled in him not just technical mastery but a profound respect for preparation, teamwork, and ethical responsibility. In an environment where every detail counts, he learned to approach each case with clarity and precision.
His military background still influences the way he runs his practice today. He focuses on safety and systems and unwaveringly believes that “the best interest of the patient is the only interest to be considered.”
At Healy Plastic Surgery, there are no assembly lines. Dr. Healy is fully involved at every stage of care. You’ll meet with him during your consultation, work with him directly to shape your surgical plan, and see him again at each post-op visit. That continuity is intentional.
Whether you’re coming in for breast augmentation, a facelift, or a mommy makeover, you’re never just another case on the schedule. You’re an individual with goals, questions, and a right to feel seen and supported.

Dr. Healy did his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University where he majored in International Relations with minors in Zoology and Korean. He attended medical school at Tulane University in New Orleans. Dr. Healy joined the US Army in medical school and received the prestigious Health Professions Scholarship.
He completed his general surgery residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii. Following residency Dr. Healy was the chief of general surgery at the 121st Surgical Hospital in Seoul, Korea. He was also a surgeon with the 127th Forward Surgical Team. In Korea, Dr. Healy performed many life-saving trauma surgeries for active duty soldiers.
Dr. Healy then completed his plastic surgery fellowship at the world famous Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN training with internationally known plastic surgeons. Following his plastic surgery fellowship, Dr. Healy returned to Hawaii and was the chief of plastic surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center. After 13 years of active-duty service as an Army surgeon, Dr. Healy went into private practice on Oahu. He still felt the desire to serve his country and was a flight surgeon in the Air Force Reserves at Hickam AFB until he completely retired from the military with 23 years of service.
Dr. Healy is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons and The Aesthetic Society.. He has trained and operated in both academic and high-pressure field settings, giving him a uniquely well-rounded surgical perspective.
He is also an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Hawai‘i John A. Burns School of Medicine, where he mentors medical students and future surgeons. His commitment to education ensures he stays current in the field and helps shape the next generation of ethical, skilled physicians.

For Dr. Healy, healing is a lifelong mission that doesn’t stop when the procedure ends.
These accolades are a reflection of how deeply Dr. Healy values doing right by his patients, every single time.
Dr. Healy lives in Honolulu with his wife and children. His decision to transition from military service to private practice was inspired by his desire to build something lasting—a space where patient care could be more personal, where results could be elevated by relationship, and where his family and community could be part of that vision.
When he’s not in the operating room, you’ll find him enjoying time with his family, running, spending time at the beach, mentoring students, or quietly working on the next mission trip.

"After decades in medicine, I’ve learned that technical skill matters—but what matters just as much is trust. When you place your care in my hands, I take that seriously. I’ll always give you the best of my training, my time, and my honesty. That’s my promise."
